Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit a form on this site, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Anything else you type into a message or comments field

Depending on the form, we may also collect your ZIP code or service address, your utility company, your rate plan, and answers about your property and electrical loads that help us prepare a savings estimate.

Information collected automatically

When you visit this site, standard web server logs may record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you viewed. If we use analytics tools, they may collect similar usage information. Email help@energysentry.com if you want to know which tools are in use on the site today.

Information we do not collect through this website

We do not ask for or collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or payment card information through this site. If you apply for financing, that application is handled by a financing partner under its own privacy policy, not ours.

How we use your information

We use what you give us to:

• Contact you about your inquiry, by phone, text, or email
• Determine whether demand control is a fit for your home or building
• Review your utility rate plan and prepare a savings estimate
• Schedule a site visit or installation
• Connect you with a certified Energy Sentry dealer in your area
• Provide warranty service and technical support if you are a customer
• Improve the website

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Sharing your information with dealers

Read this part.

Energy Sentry systems are sold and installed through a network of independent certified dealers and electrical contractors. When you submit a form asking for an estimate, a quote, or information about buying a system, we will typically forward your name, email address, phone number, location, and whatever you told us about your home or building to the dealer that covers your area, so that dealer can contact you directly.

That dealer is an independent business. It is not owned by Interactive Energy Systems. Once your information is with the dealer, that dealer's own privacy practices govern what it does with it, and we do not control them.

If you would prefer that we not share your information with a dealer, tell us in the message field of the form or email help@energysentry.com, and we will handle your inquiry directly. That may limit what we can do for you, because installation is performed locally.

Who else we share with

• Service providers. Companies that host our website, deliver our email, and process form submissions may handle your information on our behalf. They are permitted to use it only to provide those services to us.
• Utilities, only when you ask us to review your account or coordinate a rate change, and only with your direction.
• Legal and safety. We will disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
• Business transfers. If Interactive Energy Systems is acquired, merged, or sells assets, customer and lead information may transfer as part of that transaction. We would give notice of that on this site.

How long we keep it

We keep lead and inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and follow up on your request. For specific retention periods, email help@energysentry.com.

If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we are required to keep it for legal, tax, or warranty reasons, and we will tell you if that is the case.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet is completely safe, and we do not claim otherwise.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can:

• Ask what we have. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct it. Ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
• Delete it. Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal or warranty retention requirements.
• Ask us not to share with a dealer. See the dealer section above.

This site links to utility websites, financing partners, and dealer websites. We do not control those sites and this policy does not apply to them. Read their policies before giving them information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make a change that materially affects how we use information we already have about you, we will give you notice on this site before the change takes effect.
